My Favourites
I took this photo at a local supermarket near where I live in Stockholm….sigh….
Last night I went to the movies with Alex to see Star Dust with Michelle Pfieffer and Robert Di Nero. I actually enjoyed it a lot and I didn’t think I would. It was our best alternative to the Balloon Flight were were scheduled to take but got cancelled. That sucked because I took the day off of work in order to take that balloon flight. It was nice anyway though because Alex and I never get a lot of true free time together, and to have that time free on a week day was quite nice.
So overall yesterday was quite nice….and we had tacos for dinner which was also cool….
Well there has been a lot that has happened. Some of it I can’t share with everyone, but basically, the last 4 weeks have been interesting.
1) I became a manager at work now formally. And that is exciting and has brought with it some challenges as well.
2) I am still undecided about Thanksgiving this year in the USA. It will depend on a lot of factors.
3) At the moment, I’ll be spending Christmas with Alex and his family and that should be cool.
4) Seems like Robin and I are on the way to becoming friends again
Other than that, there has been a lot of pressure at work and even some outside of work. But it is all being managed now and is manageable.
I’ll fill in some more details more often from now on. And remember, I’m on Facebook as well, the social utility site of the moment. But no worries…there are still things you can get from LiveJournal that you can’t from Facebook, so I will live with both. So for those of you who have asked me to go other sites, I basically keep to LJ, Facebook, and LinkedIn. I’m just too lazy to check MySpace and most of the others.
I hope to get some more pictures up here in some of the next posts…and maybe even when I learn how to transfer it properly, some video 🙂
Hugs to everyone!
Well this was my first full week back from vacation. I can’t say that I am overwhelmingly happy to be back at work now, but it is nice to have a bit of a routine.
This week there was a lot of urgent and import tasks to be completed at work. I managed to get most of them completed, but without exception there will be more urgent tasks this week. There usually are 🙁
At any rate, the weekend was quite nice. On Friday I took it easy and stayed at home. I watched Thank You For Smoking and Scent of A Woman. They were both really good films. On Saturday, Alex came over and we just sat around and drank and chatted. And then we went out to Lino and had a great night out. Today we decided to eat hamburgers and the hungover food of choice (and Alex makes the best hamburgers ever!).
It sucks that this weekend has to end so soon. But oh well…back to the daily grind.
Oh yeah, and for those of you interested, I have begun to use Facebook a lot more now. So maybe see you on the site!
Another Year, Another Pride!

It has been becoming increasingly longer in between updates, but that is because I have been on vacation for the last 4 weeks and updating LJ hasn’t been the highest priority as of late. But soon vacation is over and the updating and the fun starts again.
So I am guessing that now is as good as time as any for a general update.
As most of you know, I went to Palma de Mallorca with Alex and that was a lot of fun. And then Alex took me to Örnsköldsvik to see how life in the Northern part of Sweden is. And I have to say that I liked it up there as a vacation point, even though I am not sure that I could live there. It is not because anything is bad up there at all. Rather, it has more to do with the fact that I am a city guy at heart and I don’t know that I would be able to make the transition so very easily.
While we were up there, we went hiking up a mountain. On the way up we followed the trail up and that was really nice. Picking and eating blueberries along the way. It was really nice and relaxing up there. Here are some photos…we are 270 meters (886 feet) above sea level. But first a really bad video of me going up the mountain…35 minutes in, badly prepared, and well…the video speaks for itself :-/

Here you can see pictures from the trip to Palma. I’m the black guy 😉 … Alex is the other guy in some of the pics.
Sorry for not posting them all to LJ directly, but when I post to Fotki, it usually means that it’s a “long-term collection”
I have some pics from my phone that I will also add later….but here is a preview of the pics
