Well, good morning everyone from Brussels. Last night I took a quick walk around the city, trying to orient myself so that by the time Friday rolls around, it will all seem like old and familiar territory.
I then realised that at like 22.30, that I wanted a snack. So I called down to the room service to see what they had on offer. They didn’t have very much in terms of selection, since the kitchen had just closed. So I order a fruit salad. And then I realised that one of the reasons I like being at home so much is that I decide what I am going to eat whenever I want. But at least the bed is comfortable, so I can’t complain about that.
I’m kinda excited about this project management class. I want to do very well in the class and to ask a lot of questions to make sure I understand. Especially since I didn’t do so well in some of the modules (think Earned Value, Project Scheduling, and Estimating were the most difficult for me). But out of 11 modules, to only have difficulty with 3 of them is not too bad at all I think.
Anyway, it’s now 07.05. For a class that begins at 09.00, I am up super early. Maybe I’ll take this chance to get some work done for about the next 30 minutes or so.
The good thing about working from home is that I actually have a kitchen, and I can eat what I want, when I want it.
The bad thing is in order to get food in my kitchen, I have to pay for it, and I can’t put that on an expense account like everything else!
So so true…guess I should spend away 🙂 I’d mail you some food, but it wouldn’t look or taste very pretty when you actually received it.
But the Belgian chocolate is TO DIE FOR! 😉
I LOVE Belgian chocolate . . . and let me remind you that my birthday is 12/12 😉
Hee hee…thanks for the update. I can’t promise that there will be any belgian chocolate left, but I will try 😉
If you don’t, we’ll just have to have me come visit you and then we can take a field trip.
Woo hoo…you would be most welcome in Sthlm…we’ll just have to make sure we don’t tell the stalker 🙂
Oh most definitely not!
Are you coming home for the December holidays this year?
Yeah, I think so. I am not too sure yet. I am definately going to be home for Thanksgiving, but I still have to work out some of the details.
Dammit — I need somewhere to go in order to escape my family for the holidays! Grrr.
Hee hee…we’ll see if we can’t plan something cool to do.
I am still working my sister’s timeshare in flordia…she’s just decided to take it back and host parties there….grrr….I’ll ask my sister if I can take her timeshare instead…
Yum…timeshare. I was thinking of going to Orlando to harass Zito & Cara.
Just stop at one of the street markets on your way home to get some food to stock up in the room. You’re best bet this morning is the hit the markets there early – I loved doing breakfast from one of the vendors.
My first trip to Brussels I stay outside of the city in Alsemberg – also spent a few days over in Halle.
That actually sounds pretty cool. I walked through the market this morning, and saw a bunch of stuff I wanted to get for later. Thanks dude! 🙂
