Dairy Cosumption Warning

Having now learned this from experience, never ever eat dairy even one day after the expiration date. I ate yoghurt this morning one day after the date and I spent most of the morning being sick. Luckily for me, I recover from most things relatively quickly (meaning the gut-wrenching pain was over in 90 minutes), but that was one of the most intense 90 minutes of my life.

On the plus side, it tasted like strawberry going down and up. Gross.

Janet Jackson: Breast-Baring Enemy Combatant?

By now, you have heard the news. Janet Jackson is Public Enemy #1, the root of all problems in American society and the reason why the world is in the state it is today. From Global Warming to Terrorism to the Middle East conflict, Janet Jackson showing (accidentially) her right breast can be traced as one of the primary causes.

I’ve recommended locking her up at The Hague as she has apparently committed a crime against humanity. However, before we pubically burn this “witch” at the stake, let’s take a moment to pause and reflect, because as it turns out, she might not be pure evil that we want her to be, that we need her to be to take our minds off of a sagging economy, a weak dollar, the lack of decent jobs, a declining standard of living, botched US foreign policy, that policy of aggression that wins wars but can’t keep the peace, and an America long on ambition, but short of liberty.

Janet’s breast is the visual representation of perilous times. It’s more dangerous than the kids of the pot-smoking, unprotected sexual intercourse 70s — yesterday’s rambuncious hippies who are today’s champions of family values. Hello hypocrites: contradict much?

Goodness…well that feels better…

Voting

This year more than ever, it’s important to vote. I would love to say that I can offer you an unbiased opinion, but I can’t really. The truth is, we have to do whatever we can to get Bush out of office.

There are the right people for the right time, and Bush is neither.

Please make sure to register to vote. And make sure we get Bush out of the White House. The damage done by Bush has been severe, but it is not permanent. Give him another four years and there will be no going back — we’ll have only ourselves to blame.

Hey hey…how is everyone? I hope that everyone is good. I do have say that the past few weeks have been amazingly busy…busier than I have given them credit for. But I will manage the next couple of weeks quite simply because I must.

Tomororw I have to fly to Copenhagen (a day earlier than I wanted to because of SAS labour/industrial actions cancelled), and there is usually not much to doin CPH on a Sunday. But I will make the best of it. I will be there for the week, mostly at a customer site. It promises to be a very intense experience. I get back on Saturday, only to have to fly out the following Sunday to Finland and stay there until Saturday. Only to fly our to Norway on that Sunday and come back on Saturday. So I don’t envision a lot of time in my flat in February. But I accept that because the work needs to be done.

Haven’t done any of my expense accounts, American Express will want money soon, but I since the system in the Nordics is manual, there is no way to really get it to them. I will have to work something out with one of my workmates or mail the information to my manager for signature. It’ll sort itself out.

Well, other than that, not too much has been happening actually. I have been keeping a relatively low profile around Stockholm and really focused on my work. I think that has more to do with the fact that I am planning a week of holiday in April because I need the break! I have 5 weeks of vacation this year and I intend to use them all!

Hey everyone!

Long time no chat with. I hope that everyone is doing ok. I have been so long in updating. but unfortunately I am so busy that I don’t have time to update a lot. So I will just say that I will promise to update more soon.
